Synthetic Whalebone is specially created for giving shape and support to garments such as corsets, lingerie, swimwear and period costumes. Durable and non-stretch it can be hand-washed easily making it perfect for swimwear. Can be heated or steamed into shape to recreate curves.

Synthetic Whalebone is quite different to the thinner rigiline boning, which is often fabric covered with ridges running down the length and kinks and creases easily.

** Please note because the product comes rolled, you will need to insert your bones so that they are curving in alternate directions so that your garment doesn't "fold over", or steam into shape. **
