ELASTICFADEN is the ideal elastic thread for shirring or smocking stretchy and solid fabrics. 

In the sewing sector, the highly stretchable ELASTICFADEN thread is particularly well suited for smocking work for both rigid and stretchable fabrics, as well as for frill seams in hemming. The ELASTICFADEN thread should only be used on the sewing machine as bobbin thread. Here the intensity of the ripple can be regulated using the bobbin thread tension.
